Concrete Direct

Concrete Direct is a tool used to place and manage large-scale concrete orders. It shares information between Concrete Customers, Concrete Dispatchers, and Concrete Drivers. Each of these users has a unique application to help them communicate and get real-time updates regarding a concrete order. ConcreteDirect provides details of an order, timing of order delivery, live location tracking of the delivery vehicle, and much more.

My experience as a video tutorial producer, roadmap creator, UX researcher, UI designer, and creator of specification documents while working as a contractor at Holcim has made me comfortable wearing multiple hats.

Gamification Project Version 1.0

what is this?

This project aimed to design a feature that would publicly show the record amount of concrete produced in each concrete plant in a region per time frame selected.

Design

After getting designer feedback, I got a new perspective on how the feature would be used. I learned that a user would only spend a little bit of time reviewing the concrete numbers produced. They mainly would use it to feel motivated if they broke or got close to breaking their record output. Taking that into account, I designed a feature that could be easily viewed at a glance.  I also focused on gamifing the design by showing plants at the top of the charts when they got close to reaching their concrete record output. 

Cancel Order Project

What is this?

This flow diagram shows how a user would cancel a concrete order. 

Design

The main goal of this project was to make the language in the dialog boxes more transparent for the user. I also needed to create chat responses that went into detail explaining the reasons why the canceled order needed to be reviewed.

What is this?

This demonstrates how a user would sign into the customer APP. 

Design

When I first started this project, I was tasked with finding an existing captcha system for our Customer app. I ended up designing screens that would get the user's phone number into the system, then they would verify their phone number by submitting the activation code sent to them.

What is this?

This was created to show employees and stakeholders Concrete Direct's future improvement plans. 

Design

The Challenge was figuring out a layout that could fit a lot of information while making the information easy and quick to read. The large text draws the user's attention to the date, then to the corresponding features.

What is this?

This was a second option created for quarter 2. 

Design

Grouping the updates in containers lets the user view the information quickly. Also, using similar colors for the background and containers allows the user to focus on the content rather than the background.
